Sorry this comic is so late. I wasn’t originally going to use this comic because I wasn’t sure if it made any sense. I’m still not sure if it does. I think it caters to my own bizare sense of humor. I ended up using it anyway because the comic that I was going to use is a bit harder to write and to draw and it features new characters which I haven’t gotten around to creating solid designs for yet. So that’s something to look forward to. You might have noticed that Jeff seemingly isn’t holding the poster in panel 4 but he is holding it in panel 5. I don’t know why this is.

Hilarious Tim! Believe it or not, “random” is the new humour of choice, so much to the point that it’s been widely used in advertising over the past couple of years making for probably the funniest commercials….that don’t necessarily sell products (old spice guy). Also worth mentioning: McDonalds’ “Egg Mcmuffin” commerical that ends in the exchange Guy 1:So if I go to England and order a muffin, this is what I’d get? Guy 2: Yep
Guy 1: What if I want the regular kind? Guy 2: Dude, d-don’t go to England.
The ending of this strip is totally unexpected, adding to the humour. Just remember that random humour, much like the use of the worm’s eye view camera angle is good if used sparingly but will lose its effect if you overuse it. Peppering it into the storyline once in a while adds variety, and it’s good to see that you do, in fact, have a story that’s going somewhere, whereas I know of other strips that rely solely on the use of random humour. Really, it’s hit or miss.
Hope all is well and all the best to you the family!

Thanks Shane! I have noticed that random humour has been fairly popular recently. I love the old spice guy. I’ve never seen that Mcdonalds commercial before though. My most popular comics seem to be the most random ones as well. I’ve come close to overusing the sad guy so I’m planning to have him show up less often so that he has more of an effect when he does show up (although I intend to use him in one last comic before the end of the year).
