I guess that last panel is a bit of a non-sequiter. I wrote the last few lines a while ago and thought it was funny at the time. Now this comic mostly just seems odd.
I inked this comic with a brush at the suggestion of Shane Kirshenblatt. I have wanted to ink with a brush for a while and I tried inking with one when I started making the comic but I found the lines came out too wobbly as my hand wasn’t very steady. I settled on using pens to ink as it was the closest thing to using a pencil and felt most natural to me at the time. I was surprised how much easier using a brush felt this time.

o_o wtf nails!
That was basically the reaction I expected.
Wow. My aunt really does have those nails. I had to wear nails like those for my Halloween costume. Maybe Jeff should have explained a hammer better. Good comic!
Jeff could explain a lot of things to Andy but Andy isn’t very good at listening. How does your aunt manage with those nails? I don’t think I could function very well. Thanks for reading Josie!
I like the brush inking. Gives it a different expressive effect. Can vary the line width more dynamically. I couldn’t see myself doing that, the concept sounds so difficult.
I didn’t think I could do it either. That’s why I stuck with the microns for so long. But if you never try something then you’re never gonna get good at it right?
So far Brush inking has been a lot easier than I thought it would be and a lot more fun than inking with microns. I think the key is to not care too much if you skrew it up at first. That way you can really dive into it.
