    Tim,

For things that are a pain to draw, or images you can use over and over again (Andy’s expression in the final 2 panels) you can use stat backgrounds and cardboard cutouts. Pick up a copy of “The DC Comics Guide to Digitally Drawing Comics” by Freddie Williams for full and detailed instructions on creating re-usable backgrounds and such. It was published late last year and I actually keep my copy right on the computer desk.

Thanks for the suggestion Shane. I’ve considered reusing my art several times. It would deffinitely be a time saver and might even improve the finished product. One concern that I had about it was that it would decrease the value of the original art. While the final product is obviously the most important thing, I have heard that some webcomic artists make up to a third of their income off of original art which would make the difference between being able make a living off of it and not. There are many who would be willing to buy originals without dialogue but I’m not sure how many would buy originals if whole panels were missing. I don’t have any dilusions about making a living off of Lemon Inc. but obviously I want to start planning to do so regardless. I’m still considering reusing my art though.
