I believe this is the thirtieth comic!
I’ve finally gotten to a point in the comic where I don’t know what will happen in the next strip. I know what is going to happen is the story… just not week to week. That should make writing a bit more… interesting.
I had this one written out in various formats but I ended up rewriting it several times and unfortunately came up with the funniest version of it while I was already in the process of inking it. My inking pens are worn out so I had to use a nib pen on this comic. This wouldn’t be such an issue if it weren’t for the fact that I suck at using a nib. Despite this I think it turned out pretty well besides the last panel which I’m not entirely satisfied with.

I really liked the art on this one, especially the first four panels. I also like that it leaves me “wondering.”
Thanks Paul! The art was a bit of a struggle this week so I’m glad you like it.
Come to think of it I did use the word “wonder” a lot in this comic.
I know what Alison is “wondering!”
But I ain’t telling…
Hey Chris, don’t leave stooooooooopid comments. Stooooooppppiiid.
I’m an intellectual! :D
Hey “Jen L.” that was uncalled for.
You’re right “Jen”. It was. I am sorry Chris.
Great as always, Tim!
I was “wondering” (maybe this will be the inspiration for Lemon Inc. t-shirts or bumper stickers) why you don’t try some brush inking? I personally find the inking pens tend to quit on certain paper surfaces or at inconvenient times and dip pens do the unpredictable “snag-and-spatter” thing. I’ve pretty much settled on the brush at this point (Windsor & Newton Series 7, #2; Industry standby) and if you take good care of it, it should last you for years (I’ve had mine for about 7-8 yrs.)
Looking forward to seeing what’s next!

Hi Shane!
I’ve always wanted to ink with a brush and I admire the work of artists who use brushes. I tried one a bit when I first started inking the comics but I felt that my hand was too unsteady. It didn’t bleed as much as the dip pen did but the lines didn’t turn out very smooth. To be honest though I don’t even know what kind of brush I was using to ink with.
Eventually I started using the inking pens because they were simply the easiest, most natural thing for me to ink with and thus produced the best results. It’s been about a year since I tried to ink with a brush though so I should give it another shot. I like to experiment although admittedly inking is the one area that I’m most hesitant to as it can ruin an otherwise decent comic.
