Did Somebody Say Pancakes?

I have never been a big pancake guy but I love waffles. I know…same batter

Yes waffles are good. They keep the syrup contained within the segments. Waffles are harder to draw however so I chose pancakes.

Waffles are a pain to draw. I haven’t actually tried, but I imagine they would be, not to mention the added challenge of adapting them to this style. All things being equal, pancakes do have the advantage of absorbing the flavour, making them stronger, like the Sword of Griffindor.

Anyways, just wanted to write in once again to say I’m really enjoying the series with it’s balance or good art and humour and a unique style (I like that you’ve actually made the dialogue balloons work with the overall colour scheme in this strip). I love last week’s as well; It’s all about the wink!

Thanks Shane! Yes the absorbent qualities of pancakes do give them an advantage. Your analogy presents the strange image of a musclebound pancake with glasses and a scar stabbing a waffle horcrux with a sword. Thanks for the compliment on the coloured dialogue balloons! When I made them white in some instances they seemed to stand out from the rest of the scene a bit too much. I’d seen some other people colour their dialogue balloons so I thought I’d try it out. Really appreciate your feedback!
