It seems that Jeff getting ice cream on his face is somewhat of a continuous theme.
That was not originally my intention. I’ve just seen so many opportunities to have it happen.
I thought since this comic is fairly light on words it would make a nice departure from recent comics which have admittedly been very dialogue heavy. I’m really proud of the art in this one. I think the pose in the first panel shows a three-dimensionality that my drawings have been lacking. Part of the reason I dressed Jeff in a Flash T-shirt was because I thought it would be funny during the running sequence. I also think the ice cream truck turned out pretty cool seeing as I don’t draw a lot of vehicles.
Note that I hid the ice cream vendors’ face behind the awning to maintain the theme of not showing the adults’ faces.

Jeff is hilarious! And I love the shading, especially in that first panel.
Thanks! It took me forever.
great art Tim. I like how you change up the panels to make the comic flow the way you want it to. Also, I love that icecream truck, something about it… :P
Also, it’s pretty funny. Your comic is coming along so well, keep it up :D
Thanks for the encouraging words Praveen! The panel layouts can actually be the most challenging aspect of the comic at times so I’m glad it’s appreciated.
I actually gathered a bunch of photos of ice cream trucks and took elements that I liked from each of them.
Okay this was friggin hilarious!
That’s good to know! While I was making this comic I wasn’t sure if anybody would get it.
Nicely done, sir!
I love that look of determination on Jeff’s face in the final panel. He’s definitely ready for action. :)
Well when Jeff puts his mind to something he gets it, no matter how many ice cream cones he has to eat before he does.
Well…it looks like Jeff will do anything for love…but his love of food is an even higher calling than his love for Alison. Thanks, Tim. This was really funny and well drawn!
