Kazoo! Zine and Comic Expo 2012

April 11th, 2012 | by Tim Lai
Posted In: Blog

I’m going to be exhibiting at the Kazoo! Zine and Comic Expo which will take place this Saturday, the 14th, from 11am – 4pm at the Norfolk Street United Church (75 Norfolk Street) in sunny downtown Guelph, Ontario. Come by and pick up a copy of Lemon Inc. Volume 1: Freshly Squeezed! This will be my first ever show as well as the first, and currently the only, place where you can buy the book. You can RSVP on Facebook here.

I will have three different book bundles available at the show. The first one is just a regular signed copy of the book which will cost $25. The second is an Artist’s Edition of the book which includes an inked sketch and/or a personalized message on the inside for only $5 more. The third is a show exclusive bundle where you save two dollars if you buy an extra copy of the book for a friend or family member.

I will also be giving out FREE LEMONADE and GERALD BOOKMARKS! No purchase necessary!

While the expo only takes place on Saturday, it’s part of Kazoo Fest 2012, which is a five day music and art festival that takes place from April 11th – 15th all over downtown Guelph, so check out the other events this week too.

See you there!

Tim

The Book Is Finished

April 10th, 2012 | by Tim Lai

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated the site. Sorry about that. The good news is that the book is finished and has been printed. I’m sorry it took so long. Putting together a book took a lot more time and work than I had anticipated and I really wanted to make sure that it turned out perfect. I can say that it did. The books look beautiful. Look how pretty they are!

The books have been printed! AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

Just casually reading a random book while wearing a random shirt and drinking out of a random mug.

The bad news is that you can’t actually buy the books from the website yet because I need to set up a Paypal account, which would require me to have a bank account which is something that I don’t actually have at the moment. But I’ll set something up soon! However, you can buy the book from me at the Kazoo! Zine and Comic Expo this weekend. I will provide the details on that in another blog post.

Gerald Pumpkin

October 31st, 2011 | by Tim Lai

Happy Halloween everybody! I decided to carve a Gerald pumpkin this year. Originally I was going to carve a sad Gerald but I realised that all of those wrinkles and frown lines would just look like a mess when carved into a pumpkin. Happy Gerald was a lot simpler to carve. So here he is!

Here’s the Tommy pumpkin I carved last year, and the Jeff pumpkin I carved the year before that.

Hey, I did a guest comic for Sean McLean over at Underwhelmed. You may remember him from the fanart I did for him, the fanart he did for me, or the time he featured Elephanté in one of his comics.
