I put a LOT more detail into this one than I had intended to and because of that it took me longer to draw and ink than usual. It also didn’t help that I had gotten off to a late start in the first place. As a result I did a pretty sloppy colouring job. I think I’ll probably redo it later.
Andy and Jeff are still being interviewed on Woody After Hours. Click on the image below to read yesterday’s part of the interview. The authors are also interviewing me about Lemon Inc. on the site in three parts this week.
The following blog post is written by Lemon Inc.’s majority shareholder, Andy Lemon, and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the author, Tim Lai, in any way.
Hello people. I am writing this notice to inform you that I shall be making an appearance on the incrdibly prestigious late night talk show, Woody After Hours, today (March 1st 2010) as their second guest. I will be discussing my emensely successful beverage company. Obviously they left me till last because they wanted to end the show with a bang. I hope you will all tune in to see me online at www.woodyafterhours.com. It will unquestionably be the highlight of your otherwise empty and meaningless life. Wait… What? Jeff is coming on the show too? He’ll ruin everything! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
-Andy Lemon, CEO and overseeer of Lemon Inc.
(Note: If you have no idea what’s going on, Woody After Hours is a webcomic about a late night talk show host. He interviews other webcomic characters. The authors, Ben Carter and Paul Westover, were kind enough to have Andy and Jeff on the show. The comic updates three times a week so essentially you’ll be getting four times more Lemon Inc. comics this week than usual.)
Hey I’m considering buying a new domain name specifically for Lemon Inc. to make it easier for people to find and to remember. Lemoninc.com is taken but these domain names are available. Which one do you guys think is the best option? Remember, it needs to be memorable, it needs to sound good when you say it out loud, it should be easy to type, and it should look nice when typed in the address bar. Tell me what you think!
I was excited to learn that Ryan Estrada reads Lemon Inc. and was even more excited when he sent me this awesome piece of fanart! I love his version of the characters. Especially Andy’s pretentious expression.
Lemon Inc. reader and fellow artist, Praveen Sawh recently set up a daily sketch blog where he posts a sketch he did in his sketchbook every day. From Praveen’s blog…
Ok, so yesterday I had a moment on twitter where I decided that I should post sketches everyday. I don’t get much extra time everyday but if I can squeeze out atleast one little sketch consistently then that effort will make me improve. Right? I hope so…
As you can see he drew some Andys, some Tommys and some Jeffs. It’s always interesting to see other artist’s interpreations of your characters. He definintely nailed their likenesses and demeanors. Praveen also has a webcomic at http://m0m0comics.com. Check it out!
If you draw some Lemon Inc. fan art and send it to me then I’ll blog about it and link to your website if you have one. If I get enough fan art I’ll create a fan art page where I’ll collect it.
Lemon Inc. is a weekly webcomic by Tim Lai about a bunch of kids that run a lemonade stand like it's an office. Updates on Tuesdays. For more information visit the About page, or meet the cast.
